Sceneware2005-10-15 MPEG-4 Personalisation Solution Launched

New Video Personalisation Possibilities Developed

Amsterdam, The Netherlands (15.10.05) - Sceneware has just successfully created a new video personalisation solution which can be seen at party.heineken.com

This personalisation system is entirely based on MPEG-4 video and allows you to seamlessly merge in text and images to existing video streams. It becomes impossible to tell that the text and images are not part of the actual video. This project was ordered by Media Republic.

The technology In order to follow the movements of the surface on which text or images are to be placed as precisely as possible, Sceneware created an editor that allows for placement with sub-pixel precision. The editor can zoom in and out and compare frames to make placement easier. Once the objects have been placed into the video, a command-line tool takes care of the actual personalisation. To reduce the server load, this tool only re-encodes the video where absolutely necessary and otherwise simply passes-through the data. It has a simple interface that works with web- or other environments.

Possibilities and availability Besides streaming from a website, this solution can also be used to create MMS messages. A dial-in video service for mobile phones is also possible.
