New Video Manipulation Technology for Viral Marketing

Amsterdam, The Netherlands (02.03.06) – On www.heinekenbusinesscourse.nl you can see the latest example of how Sceneware's MPEG-4 video personalisation technology can be used for viral marketing.

Working with Media Republic (www.mediarepublic.com), Sceneware delivered new video technology to give their customer Heineken something special to attract and hold the interest of young business talent.

The Technology
The Sceneware solutions use smart techniques to minimise the processor power required. In order to follow the movements of the surface on which text or images are to be placed as precisely as possible, Sceneware created an editor that allows for placement with sub-pixel precision. The editor can zoom in and out and compare frames to make placement easier. Once the objects are placed into the video, a command-line tool takes care of the actual personalisation. To reduce the server load, this tool only re-encodes the video where absolutely necessary and otherwise simply passes-through the data.

The solution is easy to use too. It has a simple interface that can interface with a web- or other environment. Besides streaming from a website, this technology can also be used to create MMS messages. A dial-in video service for mobile phones is also possibile.
